Ski Family Holiday

Well here we are, in the void that occurs at the end of each season, and before things hot up as we search for next years family ski season. However, with the weeks such as half term, as well as Christmas and Easter, its never to early to start to look for that great family chalet.

Already some of the better family chalets are booked and as we go through the summer the choices start to diminish. Also by booking early you might get one or two early booking deals or extras from the best family ski operators, where as the family skiers who go for the late deals end up with the late ski deals at the worst chalets (I deliberately left out the word family)!!

With fantastic snow conditions this week, and even more snow falling here in the Alps at all levels (Chamonix is boasting 380cm at the top of the Ski Club of Great Britain charts), it won't be surprising to find a few parents eyeing the ski websites for the next family ski holiday.

If you are looking at the popular ski weeks of Christmas, New Year, half term, or the Easter ski brea,its never too early as the best family chalets always go first.

Family Friendly Skiing

If you are looking for a family friendly ski holiday, the first thing after checking that that the resort is suitable for the family (by checking that there are enough green, blue, and red runs), and that the accommodation looks and has the amenities you want, is to talk to the operator. If the operator really is a family friendly ski company, they will firstly understand many of your needs and requirements, and also have limitless information regarding activities, ski school, kids clubs, creche, you name it, and will most importantly be able to help you talk through and select the best choices to ensure you have a great family ski holiday. If they can't, they are hardly family ski friendly!

And finally, have a look at their guestbook to see how many of the visitors are families an what they have said about the family ski service. One liners are by the way hardly an endorsement!

Family Ski Chamonix

If you are looking for a very special, but great value for money luxury family ski chalet in Chamonix, Chalet Prarion has to be the choice. Accommodating up to 12 family ski guests, 14 for family skiing groups with small children, the 6 bedroom chalet (all en-suite) has everything a family ski group could need. From its ski in ski out location, through to the Games Room with its Wii, Home Cinema, a competition sized pool table (great for competitive Dads!). Luxury Family Chalets

The idea of the Family Ski Holidays blog was to bring to you some great ideas in respect of ski operators, ski agents and family ski chalets that will make sure you have a really great family ski holiday. This week we wanted to focus on luxury catered family chalets.
